Weaving for Water: Where We Have Made a Difference to Date

Welcome to Weaving for Water

Taking his love for Ethiopia's culture and his compassionate spirit, Noah formed a weaving group among several of his classmates. The looms were 8x10 picture frames purchased at Goodwill. The yarn was donated from a variety of family friends. The final product, 8x7 pieces of woven art, are simply priceless. Noah and his friends sold their art for $5.00 a piece at a local Saturday Market and among family and friends with 100% of the money going toward a clean water project. Once the money was collected for the sales it was dropped into Noah's My Charity Water account. To date Weaving for Water has raised over $4000 in donations for clean water projects around the world. These young weavers have saved lives by providing clean water sources in Ethiopia, Nepal, Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Ivory Coast.

Small hands and big hearts do make a difference.

Charity:water is a non profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations.

9/27/14 Our weaving for charity:water continues to expand.

with donations to date reaching $4172! During the spring of 2014 the 3rd graders at Helen Baller Elementary School in Camas, Washington had Noah come in and talk to them about the global water crisis. They were inspired to start weaving and in a single night sold over $700 worth of their own weavings! We've been told they are ready to start all over again this school year.

Noah also spoke to the Touchmark Retirement Village about the need for clean water globally. He inspired many from the "Greatest Generation" with his words.

How this works

Before you organized your friends, family, club, or organization to begin their weaving search out possible places of interest where you can sell your weaving such as a local Saturday Market, a holiday market, a school carnival, a craft fair, or just among family and friends. Sell each weaving for $5.00. At the end of the sale the project organizer will collect the funds, total the amount, deposit that amount in their bank account, logon to the charity:water link on this page and deposit the converted collected funds from their own account into Noah's charity:water fund.
